Who we are:
FTL is a California Limited Liability Company specializing in all aspects of IT Applications Consulting. We have been in business for over 10 years, have over 30 local and regional clients ranging in size from true startups (25-50 employees, no revenue) through large manufacturing and non-manufacturing firms (3000-5000 persons, $1B in revenue). At FTL, our focus is twofold... First, although we have several large clients, our focus is on startups. All of our partners and key employees have worked at several startups and each has over 10-20 years experience directly in a startup environment. Our functional and technical focus is generally on IT Applications Systems (ERP, CRM, & Commerce related solutions).

What we do:
System strategies / evaluation & selection services:
FTL assists with setting IT system strategies, including everything from overall IT annual planning (with or without the presence of an IT staff) to low level, single application strategies and setup. We've assisted with setting overall system strategies, setting up selection criteria, running the selection process, negotiating with potential vendors and completing procurement for several of our clients. We've successfully setup / restructured and run large IT departments for our larger clients in support of their systems that we've helped them implement and upgrade.
Implementation Solutions:
Once solutions have been selected, we have engaged in full Program / Project Management and provided technical resources for projects ranging from a few days to over 12-18 months. Our superior project management and implementation methods are designed to scale with the size of the project, minimizing the overhead with these efforts while producing results that are on-time and on-budget. We're somewhat technology independent and have worked with QAD Mfg/Pro, Baan, Peoplesoft, and JD Edwards. Our database platform proficiencies include MS SQL*Server, Progress, and Oracle.
Upgrade Solutions :
We have provided solutions to existing clients systems by upgrading and/or enhancing/retraining on those systems. Some of these efforts have been focused on solidifying the technical infrastructure of the systems and some have been focused on system usage only.
Applications Development & Commerce Solutions:
We have provided our clients with anything from simple report writing solutions to very complex system interfaces and E-commerce solutions. We use our proven project management and development methodologies in providing these solutions. Our technical provides solutions based in several technologies, including Progress, MS SQL*Server, and Oracle.
Integration Solutions:
Our teams have provided integration solutions for many of our clients. The focus of these solutions has ranged from Automated Billing Interfaces to WEB solutions to E-forms/B2B solutions with our clients and their business partners. We are highly skilled in the design, development, implementation, and support of these solutions and work closely with our clients and their software vendors to ensure a high quality, scalable system is delivered.
